Once checked for eligibility, bookings will be allocated on a first come first served basis and if you are successful we will send you further details of the workshop including its meeting point location.

Equipment required

You should come fully equipped for your chosen activity. The workshops will run regardless of the weather so warm and waterproof clothing is essential.

For navigation this includes a Dark Peak map and compass.

For climbing workshops you will require a rack, rope, harness and helmet. We have a no helmet = no climb policy. By all means bring stickies but it is unlikely we will have time for an actual climb.

These workshops are to help address skill fade. They are revision and not designed to teach you from scratch. If you wish to upskill yourself, please look at the wide variety of courses on this website. There are discounted courses for BMC members in both walking and climbing as well as non discounted courses and adventures.
