Outdoor First Aid Courses

Beyond the Edge’s Outdoor First Aid Courses are designed specifically for people who work, lead, or play in outdoor environments. This is not classroom-only first aid delivered by generic trainers – it’s practical, scenario-based training led by outdoor professionals who genuinely understand the environments that you operate in and as Mountain rescuers deliver life-saving first aid in those environments regularly.

Our Outdoor First Aid Courses are ideal for walkers, runners, climbers, mountaineers, paddlers, skiers, and expedition leaders who need a recognised outdoor first aid qualification that reflects the real-world conditions that they face, not office-based assumptions.

Outdoor First Aid Training For Outdoor People

Unlike many first aid providers, Beyond the Edge is first and foremost an outdoor training company. First aid is one part of our wider portfolio of skills and qualifications courses that we deliver across the UK.

Our instructors are experienced outdoor practitioners, paramedics and mountain rescue personnel who have spent years leading groups, managing risk, and responding to real incidents in remote environments. That experience shapes how we teach first aid. Practical, realistic, and highly relevant to outdoor contexts.

We also run our Outdoor First Aid Courses at lower instructor-to-student ratios than many providers, ensuring that you get hands-on experience, individual feedback, and plenty of time and space to work through realistic scenarios.

As with all Beyond the Edge courses, we believe that learning works best when it’s engaging – so it will be serious, professional, and fun.
