Mountain Leader – Overview

The remit of the Mountain Leader is huge, from wild camping in remote locations, to easy scrambling over some of the UK’s most famous mountain routes. In fact, the qualification allows you to go anywhere in the UK under summer conditions and where the use of the rope is not planned.
The Mountain Leader qualification is therefore a really valuable leadership award and one of the most sought after qualifications to lead people in the outdoors. After all, who wouldn’t want one of the best jobs in the world!
Beyond the Edge courses are highly informative and run by highly qualified and hugely experienced trainers who have been leading groups in the mountains in both summer and winter conditions all over the world for many years. Importantly in our opinion, they are also run in a fun and friendly manner. We take great pride in the very high percentage of individuals who return for further courses.

Prior to attending training you should have recorded on DLOG twenty Quality Mountain Walking Days (QMDs).
